It provides organisations and individuals who are training and working in the health and social care professions with an accessible, research-informed diagnostic survey and associated strategies and resources to understand, build and sustain organisational, team and personal resilience.
It is based on the Social Work Organisational Resilience Diagnostic (SWORD) Change Project by Research in Practice (RIP) and Dr Louise Grant and Professor Gail Kinman with social workers. Since 2019, the SWORD has been used extensively by a range of organisations employing social workers.
Louise and Gail are leading academic experts on occupational health and wellbeing and have written extensively on organisational and personal resilience of social workers to support development of systems in practice which help professionals to thrive.

If you would like to understand and enhance your employee’s experience of organisational culture, you can sign up as an organisational administrator. The organisational administrator should hold a senior role within your organisation (such as Principal Social Worker or Head of Service) to manage administration of the iSort.
As organisational administrator, you will be directed to send a survey link to all designated employees to identify strengths and areas for improvement across five key foundational principles (KFPs) of organisational resilience.
Your results will be colour coded via dashboard to show where you are doing well and what to focus on improving, directing you to evidence-based resources to support you develop your action plan build, improve and sustain each KFP of organisational resilience.
